Warwickshire made a statement to their title rivals with a dominant win over Glamorgan inside two days by an innings and 257 runs.

Glamorgan were bowled out for 69 and 65 to record the fifth largest defeat (by runs) in their history as Warwickshire wrapped up the result inside inside five sessions. Ed Barnard took 5 for 13 to back up Ethan Bamber’s first innings five-wicket haul as the hosts were dismantled inside just 26.1 overs in the second innings.

Sam Hain and Barnard joined Will Young with half-centuries in Warwickshire’s innings as they piled on a 322-run lead at 391 all out.
