Birmingham Phoenix travel to Lord’s for their final away fixture of the campaign against London Spirit, and here’s all you need to know ahead of the Women’s fixture (2:30pm) and the Men’s match (6:00pm).

Phoenix form

Both the Women and Men fell to disappointing defeats against SunRisers Leeds at Edgbaston on Friday and with both sides now being unable to qualify for The Eliminator, they will be hoping to give supporters something to cheer about in the remaining two fixtures.

On Friday, the Women’s side simply did not give themselves a big enough total to defend and SunRisers, led by Phoebe Litchfield’s stunning 71 (33), eased past the 107 target with 31 balls to spare.

The Men, meanwhile, will have felt like restricting their opponents to 169/7 gave them a real chance to notch their second victory of the campaign, however losing three wickets in the Powerplay gave them too much to do and they could only muster 124/8 from their 100 balls.

Phoenix stars to watch

Jemima Spence

The 20-year-old has proven to be a safe pair of hands behind the stumps and she’ll now being looking to impress with the bat in the remaining two games.

Joe Clarke

Much like Spence, Clarke’s keeping has been exemplary thus far and he has also been the Phoenix’s shining light with the bat, top scoring with 217 runs to date with a high score of 68.

Spirit Men and Women are also both out of their respective competitions, with both sides falling to defeat against local rivals MI London last time out.
