Taking place on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November, Sky Kingdom will see hundreds of illuminated drones take flight above the stadium, creating giant dragons, soaring kingdoms and magical fantasy worlds in a spectacular outdoor show inspired by myth and legend.
The event follows the growing success of drone shows at Edgbaston, with demand increasing year-on-year. Last year's WILD Drone Show attracted bumper crowds across the weekend, with Saturday night selling out in advance.
Strong demand is once again expected for this year's event, which has been created by Britain's Got Talent 2026 finalists Celestial and produced by experience company Yuup.
Ella Latham, Head of Events at Edgbaston Stadium, said: "After the incredible response to WILD last year, we're delighted to welcome drone shows back to Edgbaston for a third year running.
"These events have become a real highlight in our calendar, attracting visitors from across the region and introducing new audiences to Edgbaston. Sky Kingdom promises to be another unforgettable experience, combining spectacular storytelling with cutting-edge technology, and we'd encourage people to register early to be among the first to secure tickets."
Using synchronised drone choreography and cinematic music, Sky Kingdom will transform the night sky above Edgbaston into an immersive fantasy adventure. Plus, unlike traditional fireworks displays, the show contains no loud bangs, making it a quieter experience for audiences while reducing disruption to pets and wildlife.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a pre-show event village featuring food, drinks and entertainment before the main show begins after dark.
Created by leading drone entertainment specialists Celestial and experience company Yuup, Sky Kingdom is part of a nationwide tour that will also visit Brighton, Bristol and Nottingham.
Dominic Mills, Founder of Yuup, said: "Fantasy has always captured people's imaginations, whether through books, films or games. With Sky Kingdom, we're bringing that sense of wonder into the real world, using hundreds of drones to create dragons and magical worlds on a scale that has to be seen to be believed."
Tickets for Sky Kingdom at Edgbaston Stadium will go on sale on Thursday 9 July. Visitors can register their interest now to be among the first to hear when tickets become available.
