The 27-year-old took 69 wickets during the Bears’ title-winning campaign and has now signed a new three-year deal with the club which will keep him at Edgbaston Stadium until the end of the 2029 season.
Bamber first joined the Bears ahead of the 2025 season and has evolved into a crucial cog in their bowling attack. He finished his first season at Edgbaston Stadium as the leading wicket taker with 43 scalps, before going up a level in 2026 and leading the Bears to Championship glory with the ball.
Bamber has also contributed with the bat during his time at the Bears, scoring his maiden First Class hundred against Essex during the 2025 season. He was awarded the ‘White Bear’ mid-way through the 2026 Rothesay County Championship campaign - also known as the full county cap - recognising his role as an established player within the First Team ranks.
Bamber said: “It is very unusual to be in a professional environment where you feel so at home. I have found that here at Warwickshire and I am delighted to be able to commit my future to this wonderful club and to this incredibly special group of players.
“On and off the field we are judged and held accountable to how we show up each day. This approach embodies the values of the club and has created an environment where I can be myself.
“This has been a very special year for this group. I believe there is much more we can achieve together, and I’m so excited to be part of that.”
Bears’ Head Coach Ian Westwood said: “Ethan’s deserved every success he’s had this year and we’re delighted to agree a new deal with him. He works so hard, he's the most diligent professional I've ever seen and worked with. He does everything he can to get every ounce of ability he's got out into the park and show it in a Bears’ shirt.
“He's got a big heart and he's bowled with so much skill this year, which is testament to his work ethic. He’s developed into a leader within our bowling attack and we hope to see him continue to improve and evolve in the years to come.
“The retention of high performing players is a key part of our long-term squad building strategy. Keeping our core players together ensures continuity and helps develop our performance environment further. That's what we need to stay competitive year after year and Ethan’s contract extension is another important step in using this season’s Championship victory as a springboard to for future success."
