Born and raised in Dubai to South African parents, Kai Smith signed with Warwickshire in 2022 before making his List A debut in the same year.
The talented wicketkeeper-batsman made his first hundred for the Club two years later, scoring an unbeaten 130 against local rivals Worcestershire in the One Day Cup to power the Bears to the semi-final.
Smith continued his development in 2025 by making his first appearances in both First Class and T20 cricket for the Bears.
