Wong takes first ever WPL hat-trick

Warwickshire’s Issy Wong claimed the first ever hat-trick in the Women’s Super League in India as Mumbai Indians secured their place in the WPL final.

Wong claimed best figures of 4/15, including three wickets in three balls, as UP Warriorz were bowled out for 110 chasing 183.

Nat Sciver-Brunt had earlier hit an unbeaten 72 and then took 1/21 in the chase as part of a comfortable win for the Indians. Delhi Capitals now await in Sunday's final at Brabourne Stadium, with both sides having each won one of their two group meetings.

“It’s a pretty special moment and hopefully not the last,” Wong said. “To be honest, it’s an honour to be part of this competition.
