Robinson: "We hit the game hard"

Mark Robinson praised his side after four hard-fought days at Trent Bridge.

Following a short turnaround from the Vitality Blast, Warwickshire dominated the contest, with Joe Clarke's career-best double hundred thwarting the Bears on the final day.

"We've been magnificent and just couldn't get Joe Clarke out," said Robinson. "Where threw everything at him and it was an outstanding innings with great concentration. He denied us, and in the end, we just ran out of ideas, but the effort, commitment and desire were top drawer.

"We didn't want to sleepwalk into this game. That's what we talked about, and we didn't. We hit the game hard. The boys who haven't been a regular in the T20 team brought energy into the camp. The ones who had didn't show any signs of being tired were committed for the full four days. We've just fielded for two-and-a-half days and that's an incredible mental and physical effort."

Speaking of Sam Hain who left the field on Tuesday, Robinson added: "“He’s sore and he’ll have a scan (hamstring) tomorrow. We won’t know anymore until that happens. He’ll be no more than 50/50 for Friday at this stage."
