Mark Robinson believes Warwickshire’s win in Neath was a ‘learning curve’ as the Bears head to Worcestershire on Sunday to make it four from four.

Posting 330 with Rob Yates firing his third List A century, the Warwickshire attack came under pressure as batting became easier in the South Wales sun.

Digging deep at the back end, they fought back, demonstrating the nouse and skill that could take them far in the competition.

“We were on the wrong end of the toss and Barney and Yatesy managed it well, with Rhodesy marshalling the troops at the end to make sure we got to 330. It was a really good score, but not undoable.

“It was a great learning curve for us as we were under pressure during that second innings. We don’t bowl particularly well in the first, but we got to grips with it and the experience helped us get over the line.”

The next stop is a mouth-watering derby at New Road, where a large crowd is expected.

Worcester currently sits one place below the table-topping Bears with three wins from four.

“We know what to expect and we’ll take our learning from Neath and prepare for any situation we face on Sunday.

“We’ve started strong and we love this competition. It’s something we’re enjoying at the moment.”
