Warwickshire are forced to make changes for their final Metro Bank One Day Cup group game with the battle for top spot still wide open.
Rob Yates and Hamza Shaikh will miss the Group B decider against Nottinghamshire at Rugby School having been called up for England Lions duty.
The Lions take on the touring Sri Lankans at New Road, Worcester, in a four-day game which gets underway on Wednesday 14 August.
Batter Zen Malik (pic below) – who recently signed from the South Asian Cricket Academy (SACA) – and New Zealand seamer Michael Rae are both included in the squad
Malik’s two-year contract starts in November but he’s been offered a short-term deal to cover the remainder of the season.

Warwickshire sit second in Group B behind Glamorgan, who have a superior run rate, while third-placed Leicestershire are a point behind and could exploit any final day stumbles.
Glamorgan host Yorkshire and Leicestershire travel to Gloucestershire. Both opponents are still in the hunt for a Quarter Final place so Bears First Team Coach Mark Robinson knows it’ll be an interesting deciding day.
He said: “The last round of results have opened up the group. There will be lots of twists and turns no doubt.
“We’ve qualified for the Quarter Final having lost only once in the group – and we’ve played well along the way – but we’d love to claim first place and the home Semi Final that comes with it.
Warwickshire suffered a first defeat of the 50-over campaign on Sunday against Yorkshire and Robinson admits his side was below par and need to improve on that display.
Nottinghamshire can’t qualify having lost four of seven games but possess firepower in Ben Slater and former England batter Haseeb Hameed who are both in the competition’s top 10 leading run scorers (381 and 334, respectively).

Robinson added: “We performed poorly for the first time in the competition against Yorkshire. All round we weren’t good enough, had a poor powerplay on a wicket that was slow but not seaming.
“We didn’t throw any punches which was disappointing and surprising; we were playing catch up for the whole game.
“Glamorgan lost as well so that threw us a lifeline and we’re still very much in the hunt for that home Semi Final.
“Notts have players that can win a match on their own, as we have, so we’ll have to bat, field and bowl better to get the two points.
“It should be another great occasion at Rugby School. They’ve been fantastic hosts and it would be lovely to put on a show for them and round-off our One Day Cup summer there with an important victory.”
