Warwickshire turn their attention back to four-day cricket tomorrow when they face Durham in the LV=Insurance County Championship at Edgbaston.
The Bears revert to the red ball seeking to further cement their strong position at the top of Group A. Four wins from eight games have lifted them to the summit, two points clear of champions Essex with a game in hand of them.
Some excellent performances have left Will Rhodes's side well-placed to push for a top-two finish in the group, which would leave them in contention to bring the championship title back to Edgbaston for the first time since 2012, and only the eighth time ever.
First team coach Mark Robinson said: "In some ways we'd have loved another week in the championship before the T20 because we'd had two good win on the spin and were on a high.
"For all the teams the transition between formats is tough. It's tricky to play T20 on the Friday, then have one day off and go into a championship game but Durham are in exactly the same situation and were at Chester-le-Street whereas at least we were at home and don't have to travel on the Saturday.
The Bears are well aware of the threat that Durham pose with the red ball. Of eight games, Robinson's side has won four, drawn three and lost just one - but the defeat was a resounding one at the hands of tomorrow's visitors. Durham beat the Bears by an innings and 127 runs at the end of April, bowling them out for 87 on the first day to take a control which they never relinquished.
"They beat us twice in the Twenty20 too which was disappointing," said Robinson. "As a side, they have changed a lot in the last few years. They have become a lot more dynamic as a team and they have good balance in their bowling attack.
"But we have done well too this season. We have showed good courage all year in the championship. We haven't been perfect but have found ways to scramble scores and everyone has dipped in at different times. We just need to keep showing that character, that guts, that over-my-dead-body ability to get ourselves out of trouble if those periods occur."
Warwickshire welcome Dom Sibley back into the squad. Since recovering from a broken finger, the opener has tasted a varied diet of cricket - one championship match, two Test matches and Second XI T20 Finals Day glory with the Bears.
Ryan Sidebottom also rejoins the squad but the seam attack remains without Henry Brookes and Olly Stone (injured) and Chris Woakes (England duty) while spin-bowling all-rounder Dan Mousley is still out with a broken finger.
