The in-form Birmingham Bears will be strengthened further with the inclusion of Moeen Ali.
The England all-rounder has been added to the squad to face Notts Outlaws on Sunday after representing the Three Lions at the recent ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
“We haven’t seen much of Mo over the last couple of years, but he’s keen to come back,” said First Team Coach Mark Robinson. “I’ve spoken to him in the week and, interestingly, some England players have opted for rest.
“Mo wants to get back involved, he’s very supportive of Davo as a Captain, and we’ve got to find a good spot for him.
“We know what he does well and he’ll give us another spin option, especially in the powerplay. He’s got a cool head, a good catcher and hits a big ball so we welcome him back.”
Mo links up with a team that’s rolling with the punches.
Alex Davies’ side has been forced into frequent changes throughout the tournament, but Friday’s win at Headingley - Bears defended 18 of the final two overs - showcased the determination within the group.
With seven wins from nine, including five on the bounce, the Bears head to their Midlands rivals top of the North Group and in high spirits.
“To win when you’re under severe pressure is always sweeter,” added Robinson. “It’s a game we should have won, but it felt like it slipped away in parts.
"It was a great wicket with a fast outfield and we were put under pressure by some outstanding batting from one of England’s best white ball batters in Dawid Malan, but we stood up to it.
“We were second favourites near the end of their chase, but Dan Mousley bowled a brilliant penultimate over, with another great catch within it, before Garts closed it out superbly at the end.
“After the disappointment of midweek at Taunton, I know everyone here wasn’t involved, but there was a lot of hurt. That win goes someway to heal those feelings.”
Prior to Friday's fixture, Robinson confirmed that England T20 bowler Richard Gleeson’s side injury will rule him out for the remainder of the group stage.
Pakistan seam pair Hassan Ali (elbow) and Aamir Jamal (back) also remain on the sidelines.
Chris Woakes is no longer available following his selection by England for the upcoming Tests against the West Indies, while Michael Burgess drops out of the squad having picked up a minor injury during the County Championship game at Somerset.
