Blast from the past

Bears' Sunday League visit to Cheltenham in 1972 was one of the most eye-catching no result ever and showed how star-studded county cricket was at the time. After Gloucestershire chose to bat, the great Bob Willis dismissed Pakistan stars Sadiq Mohammad and Zaheer Abbas in the first over. That brought in South Africa great Mike Procter who socked an unbeaten 109 out of his side's 135 for three in 23 overs (Willis 4-0-9-2).

Rain then denied the Bears' international top five - Dennis Amiss, John Jameson, Rohan Kanhai, Mike Smith, Alvin Kallicharran - the chance to chase.

Who's hot?

Michael Burgess. Superb form this season continued with a 58-ball century in the warm-up win over Cheshire at Chester.

Look out for
