Olly Hannon-Dalby is rested for Warwickshire’s fourth and final Metro Bank One Day Cup Group B away trip to Gloucestershire (Sun 4 August, 11am).
Hannon-Dalby has played in all four group stage wins so far, claiming eight wickets, but is expected to make way for fellow seamer Craig Miles who returns to his former club.
“Olly’s looked a bit heavy legged over the last couple of games,” said First Team Coach Mak Robinson.
“He’s still bowling to a high standard but as an important asset, and with the last group of County Championship matches on the horizon, we feel he’d benefit from a break in what’s been a very busy schedule.
“So it’s a good opportunity for Craig to step up. Michael Booth in the last two matches is starting to come of age, and I thought Taz Ali did really well at Rugby.
“Che Simmons isn’t ready to return yet. He’s only just shaken off a knee injury and is working his way back to full match fitness.
“And we may see Chris Rushworth later in the group stage. He’s playing some club cricket as he builds up his match readiness.”

Warwickshire sit joint top of the One Day Cup Group B table alongside Glamorgan who also have a 100 per cent record.
Gloucestershire lost their two opening games but have back-to-back wins against Surrey – in which former Australia batter Cameron Bancroft scored 100 – and Yorkshire on Friday by 36 runs.
One more win will put Warwickshire on the verge of a top three spot – and qualification to the knock-out stages – and Robinson reflected on his side’s “calmness” amid the drama of Friday’s thrilling win over Surrey at Rugby School.
“We looked calm all along,” added Robinson, “that was the great thing.
“Ed Barnard has stepped into Davo’s shoes as Captain very well. He has a lovely manner in his captaincy, communicating with his bowlers, with Rhodesy and Yatesy supporting him.
“Even if we’d have lost against Surrey I would have taken the positives out of what we were trying to do and our clarity of thought.
“The partnership between Chris Benjamin and Michael Burgess was so important. It was great to see Benji in among the runs, he played with lots of controlled aggression (75 from 51 balls) to accelerate the innings at a crucial stage.
“Congratulations must also go to Rugby School for what they put on, a fantastic venue and wicket. And to our Club and staff who’ve come out of the T20 Blast, to a World Legends tournament, then the Test match and now putting on out ground fixtures and all the logistics that goes with playing away from Edgbaston.
“The match fitted the occasion and to have a Bears win going down to the final ball was brilliant.”
