Overseas impact: Tariq, Redmayne and Webster

Usman Tariq, Georgia Redmayne and Beau Webster depart Warwickshire Bears following the team’s exit from the 2026 Vitality Blast.

All three made a big impact during their time with the Club.

Tariq

What a signing Usman Tariq proved to be for the Bears as they fought off competition from several other counties to secure his services for the Blast.

Across 11 matches, Tariq took 16 wickets at an average of just 16. His wicket-taking ability, and the way in which he helped to impact games through the middle overs, stood out as he went for only 6.09 runs per over across his 42 overs in the competition. Amongst players taking ten wickets or more in the competition, that economy rate is the lowest.

The Pakistan international got better the longer the Blast went on, and picked up nine of those 16 wickets in his last four outings, including taking three for 12 in the win over Gloucestershire.

Redmayne

Georgia Redmayne registered two half centuries across the Metro Bank One Day Cup and the Vitality Blast, with the stylish left-hander being an important part of the Bears’ top order.

While both came in losing efforts, Redmayne showed all of her qualities in the team’s five-wicket win over Essex at Edgbaston. In a low-scoring thriller in the Blast, Redmayne came in with the Bears in trouble at 16 for two, and with wickets falling around her, she scored an unbeaten 43 to calmly see the Bears over the line.

Webster

Beau Webster returned for a second stint with the Club, and very nearly powered the Bears to the Quarter Finals of the Blast.

After striking three half-centuries in the Rothesay County Championship as Warwickshire maintained their title push, Webster hit his straps during the Blast with several outstanding contributions.

Two matches after hitting 97 at Edgbaston, Webster hit a maiden T20 hundred to power the Bears to a first win of the campaign. In his next four Blast innings, Webster continued that form, registering scores of 79, 60, 47 and 78.
