Men’s and Women’s Ashes cricket to headline 2027 summer at Edgbaston

Edgbaston Stadium will host both the Men’s and Women’s Ashes as part of a huge international summer of cricket in 2027.

The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has today announced their international fixture list for next year, with Edgbaston set to play a key part as both England Men and Women visit for crucial Ashes contests.

Birmingham will host the third Ashes Test as part of the five-match Rothesay Men’s Ashes Series from Thursday 8 July, as a new-look England bid to win the urn outright for the first time since 2015.

This will also be the first Major Match Day that the new Dennis Amiss Stand and Radisson RED hotel at Edgbaston will be open and operational. The new 4* hotel will include hospitality and bedrooms with views of the pitch with both rooms and hospitality on sale soon. Fans can now register their interest.

England Women will play the final ODI of their Metro Bank Women’s Ashes Series against Australia on Tuesday 20 July, in the final match of the multi-format series.

The summer concludes with the visit of New Zealand for the first Metro Bank Men’s ODI of the series on Tuesday 14 September to end an action-packed summer of cricket.

Edgbaston Chief Executive, Stuart Cain said: “What a summer of cricket it’s going to be, with both the Men’s and Women’s Ashes coming to Edgbaston.

“There’s no better place to watch cricket than here at Edgbaston, whether that’s for the atmosphere in the stands, or the quality of cricket in the middle.

“The visit of Australia in both Men’s and Women’s cricket is always exciting, with Edgbaston having provided some of the greatest moments in Ashes history over the years. I’m sure next year will be no different.

“Also in July we have T20 Finals Day which is one of the great days on the domestic cricket calendar, before England play New Zealand in a fascinating match-up to conclude the year of international cricket at Edgbaston. It’s going to be a special summer.”

Tickets will be in high demand, with fans now able to register their interest for the Ballot before it opens on Wednesday 2 September at 10am. Register now to be notified when the Ballot is open, giving you the best chance to secure tickets. You can also register interest for the new Radisson RED hotel and hospitality around the ground.

Priority Club (Beat the Ballot)

Alternatively, fans can beat the Ballot with Priority Club, which gives fans priority access to tickets at some of the best prices for all Major Matches played in 2027 for £50. But don’t wait long, only a limited number of Priority Club Memberships are available.

If you don’t want to risk waiting for the Ballot, the Priority Club allows you to jump the queue and secure tickets before Ballot entrants while saving at least £5 per ticket.

Once purchased, you will receive an email when the priority window opens, allowing you to log into your Edgbaston account and buy tickets ahead of the Ballot closing.

Purchasers for this summer's Test between England and Pakistan, taking place from Wednesday 9 September, will also get priority access to Ashes tickets, giving fans another way to beat the Ballot. Limited tickets are left.
