List A firsts and bests in Royal London Cup

The Bears finished sixth in the group after winning four of their eight games with a team deprived, for the most part, of a dozen senior players by injuries and international and Hundred calls.

It was a team which leaned heavily on the younger guns and they delivered a campaign which featured some memorable moments with two stand-out games in particular.

The thrilling home win over Leicestershire, when the Bears fought back brilliantly with the ball in the second innings, will long be remembered by the spectators who played a big part by cheering the young team home. The visit to York to face Yorkshire culminated in a narrow defeat but contained a scintillating century stand between 17-year-old Jake Bethell and 20-year-old Dan Mousley.

During the tournament the Bears gave List A debuts to ten players - Chris Benjamin, Jacob Bethell, Ethan Brookes, Jordan Bulpitt, Ashish Chakrapani, George Garrett, Manraj Johal, Dan Mousley, Ryan Sidebottom and Keil von Vollenhoven.

Three players - Matt Lamb, Ed Pollock and Rob Yates - made their maiden List A centuries. Three others - Chris Benjamin, Jacob Bethell and Dan Mousley - recorded maiden List A half-centuries while four - Brookes, Garrett, Lamb and skipper Will Rhodes - improved their career-best List A bowling.
