Hassan: Pakistan IT20 at Edgbaston will be amazing

And he’s spoken of his hopes of forcing his way back into his country’s feared fast bowling line-up when Pakistan take on England at Edgbaston next summer.

England Men entertain Pakistan in an IT20 at Edgbaston on Saturday 25 May (11am start) in the second of a four-match series.

The contest is a re-run of last year’s thrilling IT20 World Cup Final when Jos Buttler’s men defeated Pakistan to lift the trophy for the second time.

“We know how good England are in white ball cricket and I know about my team – we are a dangerous side," Ali said.

“Edgbaston felt like home to me when I played with Warwickshire and the Bears so to play here for my national side would be special.

“It’s going to be an amazing match, it’s always exciting cricket when Pakistan play England and there are lots of great memories of Pakistan playing at Edgbaston.”
