Beau Webster (7)
Five memorable Bears knocks in 2026
There have been several outstanding contributions with the bat during 2026, across both men’s and women’s teams.
Here are five of the most memorable…
Beau Webster (112 v Somerset – Vitality Blast)
After the Bears had endured a testing start to their Vitality Blast campaign, Beau Webster powered them to a first win in the T20 format in 2026 with a blistering assault down in Taunton. The big-hitting Australian clattered the ball to all parts to which Somerset had no answer. His 112 came off just 61 balls and included nine fours and seven sixes as Warwickshire successfully chased down 216 for victory.
Charis Pavely (127 v Somerset – Metro Bank One Day Cup)
Charis Pavely found her very best form against Somerset, striking a sensational 127 at Edgbaston as the Bears triumphed by 34 runs. Pavely anchored the innings brilliantly, applying pressure on Somerset’s attack whenever she had the opportunity. Her innings, which came off just 103 balls and included 16 fours and two sixes, helped Warwickshire to a mammoth 336 all out. The innings was part of several impressive outings at the start of the season for the left-hander, with her 127 coming only a few days after she had hit an unbeaten 128 in a three-wicket loss to The Blaze.
Sam Hain (142 v Leicestershire - Rothesay County Championship)
Given the importance of the fixture, Sam Hain’s 142 against Leicestershire may well go down as one of his finest knocks in a Warwickshire shirt – and there have been a few! Needing a win at Edgbaston on the final week of the season to win the title, Hain stepped up like he so often has for the Club. After dismissing Leicestershire for 125 on the opening day, Hain came to the crease with the Bears 22 for two in their reply. He would eventually be the last wicket of the innings to fall having carved out a faultless 142 from 301 balls in an innings that lasted just over seven hours. His partnership of 165 with Ed Barnard altered the course of the game, and his innings – and reaction to reaching three figures – will go down in Bears history.
Katie George (127 v Lancashire – Metro Bank One Day Cup)
Katie George ended the 2026 Metro Bank One Day Cup campaign as the league’s second-highest run-scorer, with her 127 against Lancashire contributing to her tally of 698 runs for the season. It was a crucial knock too, as the Bears beat the Red Rose by 20 runs in a thrilling encounter at Edgbaston. George’s 127 came off 97 balls, and alongside Meg Austin – who also struck a century – put on 166 for the third wicket as Warwickshire set Lancs 315 for victory. It was to prove too much for the visitors.
Dan Mousley (144 v Surrey – Rothesay County Championship)
Walking out at Edgbaston for the opening fixture of the campaign after Surrey had put up 328 in the first innings, Dan Mousley struck his second career First Class century, and first for Warwickshire, to see the Bears to a mammoth 544 all out. Mousley’s 144 came from 178 balls, with his partnership of 212 alongside Hain crucial to the Bears’ total. While Warwickshire couldn’t force a win from the fixture, they took 16 points from the match, setting a benchmark for the remainder of the season.
