After five seasons at Warwickshire, Danny Briggs has decided to move closer to his Isle of Wight home and rejoin former club, Sussex CCC, as a white ball Player/Coach at the end of the 2025 season. Danny joined the Bears in 2021 and has represented the club in 42 County Championship and 58 Vitality Blast matches, taking 164 wickets.
Said James Thomas, Performance Director: “Danny has been outstanding over the last five seasons, and while we hoped to re-sign him and had opened discussions, it was clear he was considering his future—both in terms of his red ball career and where he wanted his family to be. Although we're disappointed to see him move on, we respect and support his decision to continue playing white ball cricket while making the transition into coaching. Danny will always be part of the Warwickshire family, and he’ll be welcomed back to Edgbaston with open arms.”
