When there's a bit in the wicket and the ball is flying about, what you need in your team is high-class fast bowling and gutsy batting.
The Headingley pitch on which Warwickshire faced Yorkshire in the championship in 1991 was just such a surface - and the Bears had A.A.Donald and A.J.Moles.
Both did what the Bears fans loved watching them do so well for so long - A.D did some destroying and Moler did some defying - as Warwickshire won a wonderful early-season championship match by 30 runs.

The Bears went into the game armed with perhaps the best three-pronged seam attack in the club's history - Allan Donald, Gladstone Small and Tim Munton. Small and Munton were soon starring, with the bat.
After the Bears chose to bat first despite the difficult conditions, they struggled to 167 for eight before ninth-wicket pair Small (58) and Munton (31) lifted the total to 268.
Then they got busy with the ball...led by Donald.
A.D, voted by Warwickshire fans this year as the Greatest Ever Overseas Bear, recalls the match - and that pitch - with great affection.
"I think they had just relaid the square," he said. "Man, the ball has some carry on it in that game. I remember bowling down the Headingley slope and thinking 'this is nice'.
"At one stage when Yorkshire were batting they started to run byes through to Keith Piper, he was standing that far back. So we put a short leg in to try to stop that.
"It was a decent track to bowl seam on and that's when you need batsmen who are up for a battle...and we had one of the best and bravest in Moler. He got hit all over but got a really gutsy score which shaped the match. That was typical of him."
After Yorkshire  were bowled out for 165 in their first innings (Donald five for 42, Munton four for 57), Moles' courageous 74 against a White Rose attack including future Bears coach Mark Robinson, left the home side chasing 260 for victory.
Captain Martyn Moxon batted resolutely for 57 but became one of another five victims for A.D as the great paceman completed match figures of ten for 96.
"Yorkshire was a team I always fancied playing against," recalls A.D. "Every bowler has an opponent for whom he is a bit of a bogey side and, I don't know why, Yorkshire was mine. I always loved playing there. Headingley is a great ground and the crowd always gets involved and I loved playing there."
