Taylor is no stranger to Edgbaston Stadium having signed for the Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred in 2025, and will join twin sister Millie in becoming a full-time Bear after she joined Warwickshire in 2025.
The Taylor twins both started their careers on the same path, playing for Eastbourne Cricket Club and representing Sussex, before Mary earned a contract at Hampshire.
The right arm seamer made an impression in her first senior game for the Vipers whilst she was still in the Academy set up, with her 2-22 on debut helping the side into the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final.
She excelled in Academy cricket, scoring runs and taking wickets aplenty, and that run of form earned her a Hundred debut for the Southern Brave, where she took 3-18 from her 20 balls.
The 21-year-old continued her development in the Vipers Academy, with frequent appearances for the senior side offering opportunities to showcase her skillset, which she did by claiming big wickets in the form of Tammy Beaumont and Heather Graham, as well as adding crucial runs with the bat from lower down the order.
She made two appearances for the Birmingham Phoenix in 2025 and finished the season in good form for Hampshire, finishing 60* against Surrey in September.
