Bethell undergoes successful knee surgery

Jacob Bethell earlier this week underwent successful knee surgery and will therefore miss the upcoming England white ball series against Sri Lanka.

The 22-year-old missed The Hundred and was ruled out of the ongoing Test series against Pakistan after sustaining a knee injury earlier in the summer.

He remains on course in his rehabilitation following his surgery.

Birmingham Phoenix players Saqib Mahmood and Rehan Ahmed have been named in the T20 and ODI squads, respectively.
