Chloe Brewer is in recovery following surgery on her hamstring from an injury sustained in the Bears Women fixture against the Blaze at Edgbaston last month.
Brewer suffered an injury early in the Bears Women's season, going down in the field when chasing a ball towards the boundary.
Brewer made an excellent start to life as a Professional Bear, scoring 44 in a crucial partnership with Em Arlott, who went on to score 130, which helped them secure victory against Essex in the Metro Bank One Day Cup (ODC).
The 22-year-old had also made a significant impact with the ball, having taken 3/18 in the same game against Essex and 3/40 against Hampshire in the season ODC opener.
Head of Performance Laura MacLeod said, “She’s 3 weeks post a hamstring repair and early in her recovery, but progressing as expected”.
Brewer is still in and around the Bears Women's camp and may feature on commentary in upcoming games for the Bears.
