Ali received an unexpected call up to the Pakistan tour of Ireland and England as cover for injured seamer Haris Rauf.
He played in the third and final T20 in Ireland but yesterday (21 May) was allowed to leave the camp ahead of the England series.
Warwickshire First Team Coach Mark Robinson, said: “It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster with Hassan over the last few weeks. An extended stay at a physical training camp delayed his arrival with us, then the call-up, and now his release.
“It’s great to have him back ahead of the weekend and the start of the Blast campaign.
“Obviously he’s not had his hand on a red ball for a few weeks so we’ll see where he’s at and make a judgement call over selection on Friday as we prepare for Old Trafford.”
Ali – who took 24 red ball wickets in seven matches for Warwickshire in 2023 – has made two Vitality County Championship appearances this season, taking three wickets.
