Phoenix form

It’s been a frustrating start for Phoenix Women who lost their opening game, and had their second game washed out due to the rain. They’ll be looking to get their first win on the board against a good Southern Brave side.

Two games. One win. One loss. That’s how the Phoenix Men have started The Hundred. The highest-scoring game in the competition’s history against Trent Rockets that saw a ten-run win was followed by defeat against an inspired Manchester Super Giants last time out on Sunday.

Phoenix stars to watch

Alice Capsey

England international Alice Capsey is one of the world’s best. In 58 international T20 matches to date, she has over 1,000 runs. She’s also been successful in The Hundred over the last four years with almost 800 runs to her name.

Rehan Ahmed

The leg-spinner was the pick of the Phoenix bowlers despite their loss to the Super Giants on Sunday. He took the big wickets of Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen. He’ll also look to have a big impact with the bat.

The opposition

Southern Brave Women are the form team in the women’s competition. They’ve won three in three so far! It’s a stacked line-up, with Maia Bouchier, Lauren Bell and Issy Wong all involved, and that’s just naming a few.

In contrast, Southern Brave Men have lost their opening three matches. Don’t let that fool you though. They have some of the world’s best in their squad. Big-hitting South African David Millar and Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis both feature, as do England bowling trio Jofra Archer, Chris Jordan and Adil Rashid.
