Development of Excellence

The Development of Excellence programme at Warwickshire is set up for the most talented young cricketers (male or female) in the county. Perhaps the more popular term for this is the County Squads and encompasses a number of age groups and coaches from Under 10 boys through to a women's Senior XI. Following a series of winter trials (traditionally held in October and November) the County Squads are selected for a 17-week (January to May) training programme in the Edgbaston Cricket Centre.

The boys age groups are: U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U19.

For the girls there are: U11, U13, U15, U17 and a Senior XI.
