Sponsorship and Advertising
Birmingham’s largest venue for regular international sport, Edgbaston, the home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club, continues to host compelling international cricket – with an npower Test Match against Pakistan in 2010 combined with the One Day International against Bangladesh and two Twenty20 Internationals when we play host to Pakistan versus Australia. 2011 will see the arrival of India, which always promises to deliver an electric atmosphere.
Added to these exciting fixtures is the £32 million development which is now fully underway and due for completion in summer 2011. The new state-of-the-art facilities for hospitality, conferences and the media are already the talk of the city and will change the skyline of the area.
Commercial Director James McLaughlin regards the business of sport as an essential part of commercial life at world-famous venues like Edgbaston:
“With guaranteed television coverage at many of our matches, Edgbaston is an attractive venue for corporate involvement, whether through the large sponsorship packages – such as naming rights for the new stand – through to attractive corporate packages including hospitality, advertising on the kit or within the ground.
“An association with Edgbaston will provide a sponsor with guaranteed global coverage ranging from on-ground advertising through to Warwickshire Bears shirt sponsorship, giving any business the opportunity to reach a local, regional, national and international audience.”
Since 2007, the Club has secured 21 new partners and is looking for further global collaborations as we head towards 2011.
