Edgbaston Car Parking Policy

Edgbaston operates a pay on foot car parking system. There are entry and exit barriers at the main gate on Edgbaston Road, Pershore Road and Constance Road.

How much will it cost?

Matchdays: There is a 2 hour free period on the main car park and after that the vehicle will be charged at £5 for non-members and £3 for members. When you insert your membership card into the machine your members’ discount will be applied.

Non-matchdays: There is a ½ hour free period on the main car park and after that the vehicle will be charged at an hourly rate.

All vehicles left overnight will incur a £10 overnight parking charge. Overnight rate will apply from 1.00a.m.

The Daily Rates are as follows:

Non-Matchday Parking Fees

1st 1/2 Hour FREE
Up to 1 Hour £1.50
1 - 3 Hours £2.50
3 - 5 Hours £3.50
5 - 10 Hours £6
10 - 24 Hours £12

Where will I pay?

Those parking on the ground will take a ticket from the barrier gate on arrival; you will be able to pay at any time during the day to avoid congestion at close of play (please allow at least 15 minutes between entering the ground and paying at the machine). 2 pay machines are located at the rear of the RES Wyatt stand and 1 outside the Edgbaston Cricket Centre.

Inserting your membership card into the payment machine will automatically trigger the discount (matchdays only) and the machines will accept notes, coins and credit cards; the ticket itself is the receipt.

The ticket will then need to be fed into the machine at the exit, the barrier will lift to allow cars out.

I’m a Blue Badge holder will I still be charged and where will the disabled parking facilities be located?

There are a number of disabled parking bays within the perimeter fence, behind the RES Wyatt stand, for use on domestic cricket days. These spaces are free of charge to Blue Badge holders and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Blue Badge holders should take a ticket from the machines on entry and see the steward on the perimeter gate to gain entry to and exit from these reserved spaces. The ticket will need to be validated in the Club Office and the Blue Badge will need to be shown in order for the validation to take place.

Do I have the opportunity to park at the International matches?

For international matches we will pre-sell, on a first come first served basis, reserved parking at £15 for the usual off-site locations (£20 on the day). If you want to reserve a space for the international matches this season call the ticket office on 0870 062 1902 (option 1).

What happens if I have a few drinks and leave my car at the ground overnight?

All cars left overnight they will be subject to a £10 charge. The gates will be locked at 1am every evening and re-opened at 6am every morning.

What about motorbikes and bicycles?

Motorbikes and bicycles will not be charged but must be parked on the Colts Ground car park.

What if I lose my ticket?

The security staff will be fully briefed and on hand to assist with any issues involving the parking machines. Anyone who has any queries or problems on-site should go directly to the main gate where the staff will be happy to help.

What happens if play is abandoned?

If fewer than 10.1 overs play has been completed, exit from the car park will be free of charge.

What about C & B Clients?

Please note all delegates will be charged for the on-site car park. If your company would like to pre-pay for a specified number of spaces this can be arranged when booking your facility.
