Working with Galliford Try plc – the housebuilding and construction group who have already made a name for themselves on projects such as the All England Lawn Tennis Club’s Centre Court redevelopment at Wimbledon and the Caterpillar Stand at Leicester Tigers Rugby Club’s Welford Road stadium – and AFL Architects, Warwickshire County Cricket Club aim to provide world-class player and media facilities to make them one of the leading venues in international cricket.

AFL logoThe new section of the stadium will seat 8,250 spectators and replaces the now demolished section that had a capacity of just under 5,000. The actual construction work is set to begin in mid-April 2010 with a target completion date of July 2011 – in time for the England v India Test match. The stadium will be in continuous use throughout this time, with the remaining stands being 'reconfigured' to allow play to proceed as usual and to provide facilities for members

The Club recently met with several representatives from local Residents Groups in order to address any concerns that may have arisen from the ground redevelopment. Notes from this meeting can be downloaded from the box on the right-hand side of this page.
