Jonathan Trott
BORN: 22/04/81
ROLE: Right-hand bat; right-arm medium
BEST TWENTY20 PERFORMANCE: 86* v Worcestershire Royals, New Road, 2009
England's one-day set-up may come calling to deprive Warwickshire of Trott's services for much of the Twenty20 Cup, but few will bemoan his absence if it means he can further his international credentials as a batsman of the highest class. As a record-breaking runscorer who made 525 runs in last year's tournament - a new Twenty20 aggregate record - Trott is batting with increasing assurance, no doubt bolstered by his memorable debut Test hundred against Australia last summer, and further spurred by his double century in the opening Test of this summer against Bangladesh. It's a huge summer for Trott, who will want to nail down the number three spot in England's Test team ahead of the Ashes this winter.
