Warwickshire's 2nd XI won the friendly at Kidderminster against Worcestershire by an innings and 127 runs
DAY 3
With the home side already in trouble overnight, the Warwickshire Second XI took little time to complete a comprehensive victory over their near rivals on the third day of four, when they dismissed Worcestershire for 165 just after lunch.
DAY 2
Warwickshire lost nathan Newport in the second over of the morning on the second day but Richard Johnson was in fine form, reaching his century before finally being dismissed for 125, an innings that included twenty fours and a six.
Paul Best (61) and Calum MacLeod (49) added late useful runs as the Seconds were finally bowled out for 398 with Russell 4-89 the pick of the Worcestershire bowlers
In their second innings, Worcestershire faired a little better, closing the second day on 101-3 with skipper Waldron unbeaten on 35. Miller bowled a spell of seventeen overs taking 1-26 while the other wickets were shared betwen MacLeod 1-23 and Paul Best 1-2 before bad light brought an early finish to the day with 5.5 overs being lost.
DAY 1
After winning the toss and fielding in the Second Eleven Friendly match against Worcestershire at Kidderminster, Warwickshire quickly had the home side in trouble reducing them to 10-3 with Tom Milnes picking up early wickets.
Jack Manuel (30) offered some resistance before Steff Piolet ran through the lower order batting to finish with 5-21 as Worcestershire were dismissed for 106, largely thanks to a last wicket partnership that added 44.
In reply Warwickshire closed the opening day of four in a strong position - 222-4 - with Nathan Newport on 79* and Richard Johnson 74*.
