DAY 3
The Bears' batsmen pushed the scoring along on the final morning looking to build a total quickly enough to allow themselves time to bowl Lancashire out a second time.
With 206 in their second innings, Johnson 61 and Ateeq Javed 46, they set a target of 326 in a possible 71 overs.
It was Steff Piolet 5-39 who led the way with good support from Naqaash Tahir 3-28 and Keith Barker 2-40 as Lancashire were all out for 151 leaving Warwickshire winners by 185 runs.
DAY 2
Resuming their first innings on the second morning, Warwickshire were finally dismissed for 355 with Barker unbeaten on 110 and Dougie Brown 26 last man out.
Naqaash Tahir 3-51 and Keith Barker 3-48 helped bowl Lancashire out for 236 with Tom Smith 8 and Bentley 58 their main run-getters. Paul Best 2-55 was the other main wicket taker as the Bears held a 119 run first innings advantage.
In their second innings, Warwickshire reached the close of the second day on 107-3 with Ord 17, Neport 4 and Fawcett 16 all gone. Richard Johnson 59* and Ateeq Javid 11* were together heading into the final day.
DAY 1
There was time for just a couple of overs on the opening morning at Blackpool where Warwickshire began their SE Championship match against Lancashire.
Winning the toss and batting, Warwickshire lost Ord and Johnson early before a third wicket partnership of 102 between Fawcett 61 and Newport 48 restored order.
However at 136-5, the Bears were beginning to look unsteady, before a superb century from Keith Barker 103* with fourteen fours and a six helped them close the opening day on 323-9.
Stephen Parry was the pick of the Lancashire bowlers with 3-60, Gary Montgomery 2-63 and Steven Cheetham 2-67.
