Keep Your Eye On The Prize
The £10K BIG cheque has arrived at Edgbaston and it could still be yours...
There are only two home games left for the Bears as the FP t20 group stage enters its final moments, but there is still time for you to come and support the Warwickshire boys. And don't forget, if you pre-book your ticket for the final clash against local rivals, Worcestershire Royals, on Friday 16 July you will be in with a chance to win this BIG cheque on the night.
To make things even more exciting, the Bears are currently sitting pretty in second place in the north group having won seven of their 12 matches thus far. T20 stalwart Darren Maddy is the highest run-scorer for the county, with 311 runs – and a high score of 88 – under his belt, followed closely by Jim Troughton on 305 (HS 66). Imran Tahir is the Bears' highest wicket-taker, snaffling 15 at an average of 18.26 and he has Neil Carter hot on his heels with 13 scalps in the bag.
Until recently, Warwickshire's match against Durham Dynamos on 11 June held the 2010 record for the most runs scored in a single game. The Bears' innings ended on an impressive 200-7 but, unfortunately for them, they were chasing the Dynamos formidable 215-6, giving a grand total of 415 runs. This score has since been broken by Sussex and Glamorgan, who accumulated a whopping 425 runs between them.
