Experience Michelin Star Dining at Edgbaston
Michelin Star chef Glynn Purnell is joining forces with the team at Edgbaston on Monday 5th March for a live cooking event in honour of our long-term charity partner, Cure Leukaemia.
Glynn who owns Birmingham’s famous Purnell’s restaurant and is a regular guest on BBC Saturday Kitchen, will be joined by Edgbaston Head Chef Dave Hill as well as Warwickshire’s Director of Cricket Ashley Giles (a Cure Leukaemia patron) and Captain Jim Troughton to produce an excellent four-course dinner for guests in the Jaguar Suite.
The event will be hosted by BBC Radio WM Breakfast Show presenter Phil Upton, who will also stage a Q&A with Glynn, Dave and their team of chefs between each course.
Commenting on the event, Glynn said: “It’s an honour to be a part of Cure Leukaemia, and what better way to kick off my involvement than hosting an event at Edgbaston.
"Everyone has been so welcoming and it is fantastic to be able to combine my passion for food with hosting an event of this nature to raise awareness of the life changing research and treatment.”
Unveiled as part of the recent £32 million redevelopment of the new Pavilion Stand, the Jaguar Suite is one of Edgbaston’s premium hospitality venues on matchdays and has its own show kitchen, so people can watch the team of chefs prepare their dishes before being served.
Please note that this event is strictly limited to 100 guests, so please do book now to confirm your place by contacting Ruth Bishop at Cure Leukaemia on 0121 371 4367 or ruth@cureleukaemia.co.uk.
