Just to see the lights on with the pink ball here is something completely different to what we are used to.
We caught up England’s Moeen Ali, the man in the spotlight who was awarded man of the match in the recent Test against South Africa, to talk about the upcoming day/night Test match at Edgbaston next month between England and West Indies. Moeen tells us about his experiences with the pink ball, gives us more insight into day/night cricket and how he’s looking forward to this unique occasion and playing in front of a capacity crowd at Edgbaston.

Moeen is in great form at the moment having recently ripped through the South Africa batting order and in the process securing his name on the honours board at Lord’s with match figures of 10-112. If Moeen keeps up that kind of form heading into the Test match against the West Indies at Edgbaston then cricket fans will be in for a real treat.

Moeen Ali made his Test debut in 2014 and has played 38 Tests for his country recording 2,021 at an average of 35.45. His highest score came in 2016 when England faced Sri Lanka at Chester-le-Street when he hit 155 not out.
