Lead Charity Partner
Ian Allen Chairman of Cure Leukaemia “The continued support for Cure Leukaemia from Warwickshire County Cricket Club has been invaluable to the charity. Both players and staff actively support us and so our partnership continues to grow. We look forward to working with Warwickshire County Cricket Club again during the 2014 season."
James McLaughlin CEO of Cure Leukaemia “ We are delighted to be associated with Warwickshire County Cricket Club, their support has been amazing since the partnership was established some 3 years ago. The support of all the team and supporters has been huge in raising awareness for Cure Leukaemia as well as much needed funds."
Supporting the world class Centre for Clinical Haematology at the QE Hospital Birmingham and the work of Professor Charlie Craddock and his team, Cure Leukaemia pioneer clinical trials that give patients access to potentially lifesaving drugs that are not readily available on the NHS.
Key to doing this is the funding of specialist nurses to deliver these drugs and monitor patients receiving them. We have nurses across the West Midlands offering hope to patients in Birmingham at the QE Hospital and at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in Stoke, Coventry and Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Hereford and Sandwell and Dudley.
For every £1,000 Cure Leukaemia receives, we can leverage £10,000 worth of drugs for our patients, this means all donations are worth 10 times more.
