Opened by HRH Prince Philip in 2000, and designed to meet the highest specifications, the Edgbaston Cricket Centre is widely acknowledged as the finest indoor cricket facility in the country. Situated at Edgbaston, the home of Warwickshire cricket, the centre boasts a range of facilities to meet cricket, community and corporate needs.
From net-hire to individual coaching sessions, from corporate events to birthday parties, the Edgbaston Cricket Centre is the ideal venue. We cater for the absolute cricket beginner captivated by international cricket at Edgbaston, through to the stars of tomorrow, with the best cricket coaches in the Midlands at our disposal. And for those looking for a corporate venue, the cricket centre has a proven track record of delivering events such as product launches and conferences in unique surroundings.
A mile from the centre of Birmingham, the cricket centre is easily accessible and has over 700 car parking spaces on site. Open all year round, our friendly and professional staff are at hand to ensure you enjoy your Edgbaston experience.
The Edgbaston Cricket Centre houses eight net lanes with a state-of-the-art, super-grass surface which has been praised by England cricketers such as Andrew Flintoff and Warwickshire's Ian Bell. Net hire is a great way for a group of friends, colleagues or team-mates to practise cricket skills and there is no better place to do this than the home of professional cricket in the area. Nets can be hired an hour at a time and we operate a two tier tariff for on and off peak.
Edgbaston Cricket Centre CoachingIf you are looking to get even more out of your practice sessions, coaching is available for groups through to those looking for one to one sessions.
In conjunction with the Warwickshire Cricket Board, the Centre offers coaching with specialist coaches for all ages and levels of ability.
At a small extra cost, bowling machines are also available when an ECB level 2 coach is present and it is even possible to have your coaching session recorded on video.
Edgbaston Cricket Centre Hall HireThe entire hall can be opened up completely or split into two halves, which enables the Cricket Centre to stage indoor matches. Perfect for larger groups on a corporate occasion or birthday party, a game of six-a-side cricket can be part of a great day out at Edgbaston. The main hall can accommodate 800 people for a sportsman's dinner, cricket club ball or other events.
To supplement the activities in the Edgbaston Cricket Centre, the Edgbaston complex is fortunate to have an additional indoor facility. Slightly more dated and with three lanes, the Edgbaston Indoor School acts as an excellent spillover facility at peak times and is a more cost effective option for some groups.
The Edgbaston Indoor School can be hired for individual nets, for coaching sessions or the whole hall can be taken up for indoor cricket games or even 5-a-side football. As with the Cricket Centre, the Edgbaston Indoor School has its own dressing rooms and shower facilities.
Edgbaston Cricket CentreEveryday we are visited by local schools and community groups for a variety of cricket-related activities. We are anxious to work with more and more groups from a diverse range of backgrounds within the city of Birmingham to give a larger number of people the opportunity to enjoy the Edgbaston experience.
Join us for:
The Lord's Taverners inner city cricket competition, the Asian arts and cultural society, Local Leagues Ltd and "Cricket without Boundaries" all use the Centre. We also have links with Pertemps group and South Birmingham College, who are keen to support the community in respect of employment and education opportunities.
