Kids Go FREE to Warwickshire’s Royal London Cup matches at Edgbaston
Royal London, The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Warwickshire CCC have joined forces to make free tickets available for children at the three Royal London One-Day Cup matches staged at Edgbaston.
Warwickshire’s matches at Edgbaston against Sussex (Tuesday 29 July), Somerset (Tuesday 5 August) and Surrey (Tuesday 12 August) are three of 28 matches in the competition that are free for Under 16s with a paying adult.
The promotion is a continuation of an ECB initiative from last year which was designed to encourage more youngsters to watch live cricket at their local county during the school holidays.

Rupert Pennant-Rea, Chairman of Royal London, said: “Cricket has always played a big part in many children’s summer holidays and Royal London is keen to help encourage more children to enjoy the benefits of this great sport. We are pleased to be supporting the ‘Kids Go Free’ promotion as a wonderful opportunity to get more youngsters watching live cricket and inspiring them to play.”
Brian Havill, ECB Acting Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to once again offer an opportunity for young people to experience cricket this summer. It’s a great chance for parents and grandparents, whose children are interested in the game to get down and support their local County in the Royal London One-Day Cup.”
The Royal London One-Day Cup is a new-look 50-over domestic competition in which the 18 First Class Counties are divided into two groups of nine and compete for a place in a Lord’s final. The top four from each group will qualify for the Quarter-Finals between 26th & 29th August, with the Semi-Finals taking place on the 4th & 6th September. The Road to Lord’s then reaches its climax at the Home of Cricket on Saturday 20th September.
