Worcestershire 2nd XI v Warwickshire 2nd XI, Friendly at Barnt Green CC

 

Day 3

Worcestershire piled on the runs on the third day adding 432 runs to their overnight score to close on 713-6 with Richard Oliver unbeaten on 292 from 321 deliveries including 33 fours and three sixes.

Earlier, Tom Kohler Cadmore was dismissed for 113 but Oliver ploughed on in relentless fashion and with good support from Ed Barnard 84, helped Worcestershire close the day 216 runs ahead.

For Warwickshire, Ateeq Javid took 3-151.

Day 2

Warwickshire continued batting on the second day and despite losing Jonathan Webb for the addition of just eight runs to his overnight score. Atkinson 40 and Thomason 47* helped them reach a total of 497 all out from 131.4 overs.

In reply, Worcestershire responded well, with Matthew Pardoe making 64 before falling to Ateeq Javid and Tom Kohler-Cadmore closing the day unbeaten on exactly 100 from 184 balls and with him, Richard Oliver 84* as Worcestershire closed on 281-1 sill trailing by 216 runs.

Day 1

Warwickshire won the toss at Barnt Green C.C. at the start of the four day friendly match and chose to bat with openers Tom Lewis 24 and Freddie Coleman 30 out with 64 runs on the board.

Laurie Evans was dismissed for 33 but Jonathan Webb replaced him and with Jonathan Trott then added 232 runs for the fourth wicket with Trott making 130 from 186 deliveries including 20 fours.

Ateeq Javid made 17 but Jonathan Webb was the man in-form with an unbeaten 127 from 190 balls including thirteen fours and a six as Warwickshire closed the opening day on 366-5 from 96 overs.
