Birmingham family firm, Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care is expanding its sponsorship of Warwickshire County Cricket Club (Warwickshire CCC) for three years, following the success of last season’s inaugural partnership.

As part of the extended deal as Official Eye & Hearing Care Partner of Warwickshire CCC, the Club will rebrand its Press Box Stand at the Birmingham End of its Edgbaston Stadium as The Scrivens Opticians Stand and the Scrivens logo will continue to appear on the back of Warwickshire CCC’s white LV= County Championship playing shirts.

Scrivens became the Club’s first Official Eye & Hearing Care Partner last year and they worked together to raise the importance of regular eye checks; using the Club’s youth team to promote a Back To School campaign.

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care Chairman, Nicholas Georgevic, said: “Being a company with our headquarters in Edgbaston, we are delighted that our support for Warwickshire CCC over the next three years will be more ‘eye catching’.

“Scrivens is also a community based company, with a branch network located on many local high streets.  As such, we are very keen to build on last season’s partnership and support Warwickshire CCC’s community work with young people.”

Gareth Roberts, Commercial Director at Warwickshire CCC, added: “The Scrivens partnership has proved an ideal fit for us and not only is it great news for the Club to extend the deal, but also the squad members who have been very grateful for their support.

“We’re committed to continue working with Scrivens to help communicate the key health messages behind effective eye and hearing care to our staff, Members and supporters through the Club’ channels.”

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care was established 75 years ago and remains a Birmingham family firm with its head office in Edgbaston, the home of Warwickshire CCC.  Today, Scrivens has 171 stores across England and Wales, having recently acquired 19 branches from the Rayner Optical Group.
