Bears depart for Barbados
The Warwickshire squad are now on their way to Barbados for an 11-day pre-season training camp, where they will play a minimum of two T20 matches and two 2-day fixtures.
A coach from the Club’s Official Travel Partner, Birmingham International Coaches, left Edgbaston at 5am this morning, bound for Gatwick Airport. The squad will arrive this evening and have two days of training before they play their first match in the Barbados T20 Cup against Nottinghamshire on Saturday.
Should the Bears win, they will progress to the semi-finals of the Cup, whilst defeat would mean entry to the Plate. Both competitions conclude on Sunday with the 2-day fixtures taking place on 18-19 March v Northamptonshire and 21-22 March v Nottinghamshire.
Special thanks from the Club go to Smile Travel for organising the Bears’ itinerary in Barbados and to Birmingham International Coaches for the transfers from Edgbaston to Gatwick.
