Coleman helps Scots to second warm-up victory in New Zealand
Warwickshire batsman Freddie Coleman helped Scotland to a second consecutive victory on their World Cup Qualifying tour of New Zealand, after scoring 108 during a practice match at the Mainpower Oval in Christchurch against Christchurch Country.
Scotland batted first and at one stage found themselves teetering on 35 for 4, but a partnership of 155 between Coleman and Moneeb Iqbal led the recovery.
Coleman eventually finished on 108 from 114 balls, and together with a quick-fire 40 by Michael Leask, ensured the innings would finish on 315 for 8.
A disciplined bowling display by Scotland kept the Canterbury Country innings in check, with the hosts finishing 97 runs short of the Scottish total.
