Members Celebrate Christmas at Edgbaston Carols Service
Club Members shared a glass of mulled wine and mince pies with Warwickshire players, coaches and back office staff yesterday to celebrate the start of the festive season at Edgbaston’s annual Christmas Carols Service.
Bournville School led the event’s festivities with excellent flute, string, brass and vocal performances from its students. Additionally, everyone together sung the 12 Days of Christmas, We Wish you a Merry Christmas and O’ Little Town of Bethlehem.
Colin Povey, Chief Executive of Edgbaston, said: “Our annual Christmas Carol Service is one of the most popular of our Members’ events because it’s a great opportunity to meet the players in-person and talk about the past season’s events over a mince pie.
“However, the event would not be possible without the great support of Rev Dave Tubby of Northfield Baptist Church and Karen Dalgleish and her music students of Bournville School. We thank them for their excellent performances and look forward to seeing them again at next year’s event.”
