He was presented with the award at a star-studded event at Edgbaston in recognition of his three centuries and 529 runs in the Ashes, which was England’s third consecutive series victory over Australia.
He started his career with the Bears at the Under 11s age group, before progressing through the development programme to make his First Class debut against Sussex in 1999. To date, he’s played 228 First Class matches, scoring 15,580 run with 44 hundreds; 20 of which have been for England in his 93 Test Matches.
