Dougie to Captain Legends v Combined Services Following Bears v Steelbacks

Warwickshire’s Director of Cricket Dougie Brown is set to captain a Warwickshire Legends team versus the Combined Services in a Twenty20 match at Edgbaston this Saturday, which follows the Bears’ all-important Friends Life t20 clash v Northamptonshire Steelbacks.

The Bears v Steelbacks gets underway at 1pm, with Legends such as Asif Din, Michael Powell, Geoff Humpage and current Assistant Coach & Lead Bowling Coach Graeme Welch set to take on the Combined Services immediately after.

All spectators in attendance get the chance to watch both games, with Adult tickets priced at £15 in advance (£20 on gate) and Juniors priced at £5 at all times. Additionally, fans can package Saturday as part of the £25 Double Whammy deal, which also includes a ticket for the Friends Life t20 match against local rivals Worcestershire on Friday 26th July.

Dougie Brown, said: “The team put in fantastic performances in our last two Friends Life t20 matches, with away victories over Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. We’ll be looking to continue that form this Saturday against the Steelbacks, who have been impressive in this year’s competition.

“With the glorious sunshine set to continue long beyond Saturday, we hope that many fans can get behind the team, before watching us former Bears take on the Combined Services in what’s sure to be a tough game.”

Tickets for Saturday’s match and the Double Whammy deal can be purchased online by clicking here or calling the 24-hour Ticket Hotline on 0844 847 1902.
