Warwickshire County Cricket Club, are delighted to announce that this year it will play host to a Charity Cricket Match between the Armed Forces XI and Warwickshire Legends XI. The match will follow the Northants Friends Life T20 on the 20th July.

All purchasers of tickets for the Warwickshire Vs Northampton match will be invited to stay on to watch the charity match, which will start immediately after the Northants game has concluded. Gates will open at 11am, with the Warwickshire game starting at 1pm.

Money raised on the day will go to supporting Fisher House. Fisher House is a home away from home for Military patients that are being treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and their loved ones.

The first class facility has 18 large family bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities, and disabled access throughout. There are also communal facilities for military patients to get out of the ward and spend time with families, friends and colleagues in a non-clinical environment.

There will be a host of activities around the ground, including face painting and soccer shoot-out, to keep children and adults alike, entertained during the course of the day.

Mike Hammond, Chief Executive, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity said “We are very proud that the UK's military patients are treated here in Birmingham, and the hospital charity works to support the patients and their families. We are grateful to everyone across the Midlands who help make that support possible, and we would particularly like to thank Warwickshire CCC for their partnership."

Colin Povey, Chief Executive of Warwickshire County Cricket Club, added “As a part of our commitment to the local community we are delighted to be supporting this worthy cause. This facility will no doubt improve the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers and we are proud to do our bit and be a part of the Fisher House project”.

You can purchase a ticket for both matches for just £15 in advance by either calling 0844 847 1902, or by clicking here to purchase online.
