Warwickshire 2nd XI v Worcestershire 2nd XI t20

 

In their latest double header, t20 matches against Worcestershire at Kidderminster C.C. play was delayed until one o’clock when:-

Match 1

Warwickshire won the toss and put Worcestershire into bat, They made 165-4 from their twenty overs with Kapil unbeaten on sixty seven from thirty nine balls with three fours and six sixes.

Steff Piolet took three wickets and Tom Allin the other.

In reply, Warwickshire were 159-8 after twenty overs, losing by six runs after Maddy 33, Evans 39 and Piolet 26 had top scored.

 

Match 2

In the second match, Warwickshire once again won the toss but on this occasion chose to bat with Evans 43 and Hain 68 top scoring, Chris Russell and former Bear, Naqash Tahir each took two wickets as Warwickshire closed their twenty overs on 161-6.

Worcestershire then reached their target with one ball to spare after Kervezee top scored with forty. Chris Metters took two wickets and there was one each for Oliver Hannon-Dalby and Steff Piolet.

 

Warwickshire have now played four matches in this season’s t20 and are still looking for their first win
