Play finally started at 1.40 on the third day and by tea Worcestershire had moved on to 126-7. After the interva;l Brett D'Oliveira led the way with an unbeaten fifty one to take the vicitors to 194-8 at the closewith an overall lead of 229
The final wicket pair added just four runs on the second morning before Gordon bowled Jones to leave Worcestershire 219 all out after the last pair had added fifty in all for the last wicket.
In reply, Warwickshire lost Ateeq Javid early, before Piolet 32 and Barker took them to lunch on sixty four without further loss.
During the afternoon session, wickets tumbled with several batsmen getting started but then losing their wickets with Warwickshire 149-6 at tea, with Brett D’Oliveira taking 3-37
Tom Allin 34 top scored before the innings closed on 184, trailing by thirty five and when Tom Milnes took two wickets in the first over of Worcestershire’s second innings Warwickshire effectively wiped out that slender advantage.
Worcestershire’s skipper Leach steadied things before Recordo Gordon bowled him leaving Worcestershire 38-3 at the close, leading by seventy three.
Play was delayed on the opening day until 2.15pm when, after winning the toss, Warwickshire put Worcestershire into bat and took early wickets. At tea, Worcestershire were 90-3.
After the break, they collapsed from 116-4 to 169-9 from 46 overs, but a last wicket partnership between Jones 34* and Kapil 39* took them to 215-9 from 63 overs at close.
Warwickshire, who used nine different bowlers, saw Milnes, Grundy and Lintropp take two wickets each.
