Edgbaston welcomed children from five schools to today’s third day of Warwickshire’s LV= County Championship match against Yorkshire as part of their affiliation to the Warwickshire Cricket Board’s Chance to Shine programme.

As well as being able to watch the day’s play, children from Erdington Hall Primary, Prince Albert Primary, Albert Bradbeer Primary, Woodthorpe Junior and Forest Oak School all got to take part in Kwik Cricket games on Edgbaston’s hallowed turf during the lunch break.

The Chance to Shine programme is designed to support the next generation of cricketers in primary school across the region and provides access to coaching sessions, Warwickshire Cricket Board tournaments and priority access to international tickets at Edgbaston.
