Warwickshire 2nd XI v Nthants/Kent 2nd XI
Warwickshire were dismissed during the final morning by the Combined Northants/Kent side for 143 in fifty five overs at Canterbury with only Tom Milnes 52 offering any real resistance and last out.
Their next match is a three day friendly against Scotland A at Edgbaston, beginning at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday April 23rd
On the second day, the Combined side batted on reaching 412 with Ben Harmison making one hundred and sixteen and Adam Ball sixty four.
For Warwickshire, Tom Allin took 5-94 from 25.2 overs plus a run out as the home side took forward a first innings lead of 290 with thirty six overs possible play remaining in the day.
Darren Maddy made fifty four but two late wickets left Warwickshire 87-4 at the close after the last eight overs of the day were lost, trailing still by two hundred and three runs.
Warwickshire lost the toss at Canterbury and were put into bat by the combined side, who quickly made inroads into the Bears’ batting on what seemed a helpful wicket.
Top scorers were Maddy 26 and Piolet 26 as the Seconds were dismissed for 122 in just 51.2 overs with former Bear, Lee Daggett, taking three wickets.
In reply the Combined side found batting very different, closing the opening day on 167-2 with Rob Keogh having made seventy four, Matt Spriegel fifty eight and Daniel Bell-Drummond unbeaten on thirty six.
Allin and Zamat were the Warwickshire wicket takers as they trail at the close by forty five runs.
